Ogden Nature Center

The Ogden Nature Center is a 152-acre wildlife sanctuary and education center located in the heart of Ogden, Utah. We offer over 1.5 miles of trails with an observation tower, two treehouses, bird blinds and two beautiful green buildings. We offer the best in environmental education and nature study. We are also home to a wild bird care program. We are open Mon.-Fri. 9-5 and Sat. 9-4.

CAMP- Extreme Eco - Ages 11-14

Community Classes in Nature Do you know what it takes to survive in the wild? Challenge yourself in the ultimate nature adventure. Learn how to read the landscape and prepare yourself for survival using basic first aid, fire starting, leadership, shelter-building, and more. Conquer these skills and put your knowledge to the test in an all-out, end of camp scavenger hunt. Who will win in this wild adventure? Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are regular camp days. The overnight portion starts at 6pm on Thursday and ends at 9am on Friday. No regularly scheduled camp on Thursday or Friday.  Ogden Nature Center members receive a 10% discount. Weed 'em & Reap

Volunteer Activities Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property.  Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Expect light walking and some sitting on the ground.  We will have sessions through the summer.  You may attend multiple sessions but this is not a series. Volunteer Activities Help restore native habitats. Join us every week to manually remove invasive species on the property.  Invasive weeds crowd out native species and impair the habitat. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Volunteers should be able to walk over uneven ground, bend over for extended periods, work outdoors in a variety of conditions, and comply with the safety guidelines. Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, and sun protection. Bring plenty of water and snacks if needed. Work gloves, shovels, and trowels will be available to borrow but we encourage you to bring your own. Wildwoods Bash Fundraiser at Ogden Nature Center

Events at Ogden Nature Center The Ogden Nature Center presents the 40th annual Wildwoods Bash at our nature preserve located at 966 West 12th Street in Ogden from 5:00 to 8:30pm. This al fresco event includes a gourmet dinner, live music, and an auction of nature and outdoor inspired items.  All proceeds support Ogden Nature Center's mission to unite people with nature and create a community dedicated to environmental stewardship.
