Backpacking

Join OA as we embark on a multi-day backpacking trip through the deserts of Southern Utah. We will observe diverse ecosystems, view petroglyphs, and sleep in tents under the stars. Backpacking is a beginner-friendly sport that allows participants to see nature’s beauty in a unique and personal way. This trip will involve hiking and carrying your gear from camp to camp. Our trips are designed to give participants the building blocks to further their knowledge and skills to apply it on their own adventures. On this trip, we will learn various skills such as how to pack a backpack, how to set up camp, navigation, water purification, backcountry cooking, and Leave No Trace Ethics.
