Outdoor Adventure Summer Trip: Big Cottonwood Climbing

Join OA on a day long climbing adventure in Big Cottonwood Canyon! Enjoy the dramatic rocks, open skies, and views of the canyon. We will enjoy diverse climbs, enjoy a yummy lunch together, and learn outdoor climbing safety skills! This trip is great for beginners who take part in regular moderate physical activity and want to explore outdoor climbing. Trip costs include climbing rentals, equipment, food, transportation, and all gear needed for the trip. Outdoor Adventure Summer Trip: Silverlake Hike and Swim

Come spend the day with us exploring one of Utah’s gems—Silver Lake. This hike is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, with just the right amount of challenge to keep things interesting. The 4.5-mile out-and-back trail winds through shady forests and open meadows, with mountain views that make every step worth it. It’s a great way for students to get outside, connect with each other, and enjoy some fresh alpine air. And the best part? It all leads to a beautiful, clear lake where we’ll have the opportunity to kick off our shoes, eat lunch, and go for a swim in the refreshing water. Outdoor Adventures Summer Trip: Uintas Backpack and Climb

oin OA to escape the Salt Lake City heat for a weekend and head to the Uinta Mountains! We will observe diverse ecosystems, camp near beautiful lakes, and sleep in tents under the stars. Backpacking is a beginner friendly sport that allows participants to see nature’s beauty in a unique and personal way. This trip will involve hiking and carrying your gear from camp to camp. This will also involve one day hiking to a climbing spot and spending the day rock climbing! Our trips are designed to give participants the building blocks to further their knowledge and skills to apply it on their own adventures. Outdoor Adventure Summer Trip: Afternoon Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Join OA for an afternoon of fun in the sun – while also learning how to stand-up paddleboard (SUP)! SUPing is a fun, low-consequence activity that is perfect for a toasty summer day. No experience is necessary, and our trip leaders will teach you all of the basics. Our Outdoor Equipment Rental shop rents out both inflatable and hard SUPs, so take the skills you learn on this trip and have the confidence to go out on your own!
