LIVE/WIRED [U Arts Pass Event]

LIVE/WIRED transforms the Film & Media Arts Building into a dynamic laboratory where live cinema and AI-generated films collide. During this one-night-only event, Film & Media Arts students present hybrid works that blur the boundaries between human and machine creativity. Audiences move freely through the building, where they encounter performances and AI experiences in a variety of spaces. The event explores questions central to our technological moment: What happens when live performance and pre-recorded digital media meet in real time? How does the use of AI challenge traditional notions of originality and authenticity? How does our impression of live performance change in a post-generative-AI creative landscape? LIVE/WIRED positions the Film & Media Arts Building not as a container for finished works but as an active participant—its infrastructure of rooms, screens, cables, and technology made visible and audible, revealing the usually hidden systems that enable contemporary film and media art product… Campus Locations: Film and Media Arts Building (FMAB). Cost: Open to the public and free to attend. Campus Wide Event: Yes. Friday, December 5, 2025, 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
