Hugo Rossi Lecture Series, featuring Dr. Tingting Li, Assistant Professor of Science Education at Washington State University Reimagining Education in an AI Era: A Journey of Collaboration, Reflection and Possibility We are living in a time when artificial intelligence is transforming how we teach, learn, and make sense of the world. As an early career researcher and science educator, I have been learning alongside teachers, students, and collaborators from Microsoft and K–12 school districts to explore what these changes mean for education. Working closely with rural communities in the Pacific Northwest, I have come to see AI not only as a tool but also as a mirror that helps us reflect on who we are as educators and what we value in teaching and learning. In this talk, I will share stories and experiences from this journey. How collaboration across research, industry, and schools has invited me to reconsider my role, my assumptions, and the meaning of equity in education.
