Join the Utah Museum of Fine Arts for a hands-on art activity where you’ll create your own fish rubbings and drawings inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku. This unique printing technique began hundreds of years ago when Japanese fishermen used ink and rice paper to record the fish they caught before cameras existed.
Stop by to learn about this historic art form and make your own fish print to take home!

Join us at the annual Sunnyside Emergency Preparedness Fair to learn how to be ready for life’s unexpected moments! Explore resources and practical tips for a variety of emergencies, including natural disasters, poison situations, financial challenges, mental health crises, and more.
Enjoy free food, activities, and valuable preparedness information while meeting local police, ambulance personnel, and the University’s Emergency Management team.
Leading up to the fair, we encourage residents to practice evacuating from their apartment, check their 72-hour kits, locate their nearest Emergency Assembly Point (EAP), and review their emergency plans.
When you arrive at the fair, check in at the Main Office table with your name and apartment number. Pick up a bingo card and visit the emergency preparedness vendors to enter prize drawings for a chance to win a 72-hour emergencye preparedness kit, rent reductions,…
