Bi-weekly HIV/STI Testing Appointments

We offer free 15-minute testing appointments twice per month, where students can get treated for HIV and STIs with the support of our professional staff.
Testing is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, and our capacity to accommodate walk-ins may vary, with longer wait times. We highly recommend booking an appointment to ensure you are seen on the same day.
Starting three days before each clinic, students can reserve a spot on Medicat. There will be (2) spots available per 15-minute block. Our maximum testing capacity during these two-hour sessions is approximately 25 students.

Intro to Uphill Touring Day Trip

Join OA and learn the basics of backcountry touring gear! Backcountry touring takes you off the groomed path and into fresh snow - where the uphill can be difficult, but the downhill is delightful. Combining exploration, cardio, and skill-building under Trip Leader guidance, backcountry touring trips are a rewarding challenge. Our Intro to Uphill touring Trips are the first step for those with previous resort experience who wish to break into the touring realm. We will show you everything you need to know involving the gear needed to get into backcountry touring as well as other considerations and next steps into the sport. Note that this IS NOT an Avalanche Safety course, and we do not include in-depth avalanche safety lessons. This is a great trip for those looking to prepare for their first Avi 1 course and learn how the gear works. Participants should come into this trip with confident resort skiing experience.

Join OA for a snowshoeing hike through the stunning Wasatch mountains. Whether you're a seasoned snowshoer or new to winter adventures, this guided hike offers a fun journey through snowy landscapes. Explore frosted forests, quiet meadows, and panoramic mountain views. This trip is great for beginners who take part in regular moderate physical activity. We typically offer both full day trips and full-moon trips. Our trips are designed to give participants the building blocks to further their knowledge and skills to apply it on their own adventures.
This is a frontcountry day trip: Our front-country trips are perfect for participants who are new to recreating in the outdoors. There will be limited access to running water or other modern amenities like pit toilets while on the adventure. Trip leaders will teach participants how to recreate while following Leave No Trace ethics.

It's Ski Season! Ever wonder what actually happens to your skis or snowboard when you give it to OA Shop staff for The Works? In this clinic, our skilled OA technicians will show you how we use our ski repair equipment to repair, maintain, and care for our ski fleet. All participants will get hands-on experience p-texing and waxing a set of skis. Bring your own skis or snowboard with you and leave this clinic with a fresh wax to start the season off right!Clinic participants will leave the clinic with an understanding of the following:- Why tuning skis is important for performance and longevity-How to assess different types of damage to bases and choose the appropriate type of repair-The basics of waxing skis/snowboards (with materials provided)-The basics of p-tex-ing skis/snowboards (with materials provided)-The basics of the negative environmental effects waxing skis can have on a watershedThis clinic will take place at the Outdoor Adventures Gear Shop in the Student Life Center at 6:00PM.

Venture off groomed trails into backcountry terrain, where the uphill can be difficult, but the downhill is delightful. Backcountry Yurt Weekend

Join OA for an overnight backcountry touring and yurt camping experience in the stunning Uinta range of Utah. Explore snow-capped mountains, quiet forests, and shimmering snow fields. This trip will involve uphill ski touring to a remote yurt, campfires, woodfire cooking, and day ski expeditions straight out the door of the yurt! This trip has two optional activities from the yurt that accommodates for both seasoned backcountry skiers and beginner snow enthusiasts. One involves a longer ski tour, and the other involves a day hike (on skis) and snow fort building. All participants should feel comfortable on alpine skis.
This is a backcountry trip: Our back-country trips are great for beginners or those looking to take the next step from a front-country trip. Participants will sleep in tents, and there will be no access to showers, running water, or other modern amenities. Trip leaders will teach participants how to dispose of waste properly by following Leave No Trace ethics.

SENDsations Annual Bouldering Competition

Come participate in the Summit's Annual Bouldering Competition. With four divisions to compete in, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Open, climbers of all abilities have an opportunity to make it to a Finals Round.
The preliminary redpoint round will open at 6:00am on Monday and close at 5:00pm Thursday. Climbers will self-select into the division they want to compete in and record their sends through the Pebble App. All registered competitors will receive a Pebble Competition Registration Link the week prior to the competition start date.
Division finals will be held on Saturday.
All climbers will receive a raffle ticket for registration and a raffle ticket for each division final they watch. Raffles and Prizes will be distributed to in-person attendees following the last finals round on Saturday.

Intermediate Backcountry Touring

Join OA as we experience skiing in the backcountry for a day in the breathtaking Wasatch mountains. Venture off groomed trails into backcountry terrain, where the uphill can be difficult, but the downhill is delightful. Combining exploration, cardio, and skill-building under Trip Leader guidance, our Backcountry skiing trip is a rewarding challenge. Participants should have previous backcountry skiing experience for this trip. If you do not, or are unsure if you meet the prerequisites for this trip, consider joining one of our Intro to Uphill Touring Trips instead.
This is a backcountry day trip: There will be no access to running water or other modern amenities while on the adventure. Trip leaders will teach participants how to recreate while following Leave No Trace ethics.

In this clinic, our skilled OA technicians will show you how we use our ski repair equipment to repair, maintain, and care for our ski fleet. Canyoneering

Join OA for some introductory canyoneering in the beautiful sandstone canyons of Southern Utah. North Wash is the home to some of the most beautiful, exciting canyons in the state. This trip includes deep, twisting narrows, multiple rappels, and some thrilling downclimbs. Trip cost covers gear, instruction, transportation, and equipment. Participants should be comfortable with heights and able to hike 5 miles. Our trips are designed to give participants the building blocks to further their knowledge and skills to apply it on their own adventures.
This is a front-country trip: Our front-country trips are perfect for participants who are new to recreating in the outdoors. Participants will sleep in tents with easy access to our vehicles. Crack Climbing
Trips and Summit
Some say crack climbing is the best style of climbing, they would be correct. Come explore crack climbing techniques with our climbing instructors and you'll be flying up splitters in no time. Get hands on practice on our crack in the summit and walk away with some climbing tape to craft your own crack gloves. Registration opens 8/11/25Clinic participants will leave the clinic with an understanding of the following:- Build a crack glove out of climbing tape- Learn crack climbing techniques specific to hands, fingers, and off width cracks- Climb The Summit's crack with confidence.

Bi-weekly HIV/STI Testing Appointments
Center for Campus Wellness
We offer free 15-minute testing appointments twice per month, where students can get treated for HIV and STIs with the support of our professional staff.
Testing is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, and our capacity to accommodate walk-ins may vary, with longer wait times. We highly recommend booking an appointment to ensure you are seen on the same day.
Starting three days before each clinic, students can reserve a spot on Medicat. There will be (2) spots available per 15-minute block. Our maximum testing capacity during these two-hour sessions is approximately 25 students.

This event is an end of semester event for folks who have experienced violence, abuse, or harm and are interested in building community on campus. We will host a soothing space to decompress, enjoy coffee/tea and snacks, and create some hand-crafted self-care items.

Backpacking

Join OA as we embark on a multi-day backpacking trip through the deserts of Southern Utah. We will observe diverse ecosystems, view petroglyphs, and sleep in tents under the stars. Backpacking is a beginner friendly sport that allows participants to see nature’s beauty in a unique and personal way. This trip will involve hiking and carrying your gear from camp to camp. Our trips are designed to give participants the building blocks to further their knowledge and skills to apply it on their own adventures. On this trip, we will learn various skills such as how to pack a backpack, how to set up camp, navigation, water purification, backcountry cooking. and Leave No Trace Ethics.
This is a backcountry trip: Our back-country trips are great for beginners or those looking to take the next step from a front-country trip. Participants will sleep in tents, and there will be no access to showers, running water, or other modern amenities. Trip leaders will teach participants how to recreate and dispose of waste…

Join Outdoor Adventures for a classic multi-sport excursion in Moab and explore the unique beauty of the desert with us! As Southern Utah begins to warm up, it is the perfect time to float the Colorado river and climb the sandstone rocks of the desert. This trip is perfect for beginners who take part in regular moderate physical activity. Trip costs include rentals, equipment, food, instruction/skills teaching from trip leaders, transportation, and all camping gear needed for the trip. Our trips are designed to give participants the building blocks to further their knowledge and skills to apply it on their own adventures. During this trip, we will cover the basics of rock-climbing including terminology, belaying, and safety. We will also cover the basics of whitewater rafting including gear, reading whitewater features, and river safety. This trip has it all!
