Join the Native and Indigenous Research Methods Collaborative for a breakfast mixer where you can connect with other scholars, students, and staff members who are interested in ethical research with Native communities. Tribal representatives and Indigenous community organizations also welcome to attend. Gluten-free and vegetarian food options will be available. Career Opportunity: Gardner Institute Survey Data Dictionary and Mapping Intern

The Gardner Institute is accepting applications for a Spring 2027 Graduate Internship.
The intern will support the Gardner Institute’s efforts to improve the documentation, consistency, accessibility, and effective use of survey data. The primary project will involve developing a comprehensive data dictionary and business glossary for survey-related files.
This internship is fully remote, with an expectation of 10-15 hours per week during the Spring semester, and includes a $1,500 stipend.

The University of Utah’s Federalism, Law, and American Governance Initiative (FLAG) is accepting applications for its inaugural Research Grant Program, which will support research by scholars across the university on federalism and related questions of American governance.

Applications are now being accepted for the College of Humanities’ International and National Research Travel Program, which offers funding for College of Humanities tenure-line faculty and provides up to $2,000 to conduct research that requires national or international travel. All research travel is eligible that will occur within the next 12 months. The awards committee privileges all forms of primary source research that is foundational to a scholar’s research program. Applicants should submit a one-page narrative describing the research, how that research is significant to their overarching research program, and why travel to national or international locations is necessary for that work. They should include a specific budget for how the requested funds will be used (e.g. flights, housing, research materials). Applicants should upload their materials by February 1, 2027 by 5:00 pm MT to InfoReady: College of Humanities’ International and National Research Travel Program.
