This session will give students tools needed to conduct research effectively and find credible sources utilizing library resources. Graduate School Mini Expo

Each year, summer undergraduate research program coordinators from across campus offer a Grad School Mini Expo to our student participants. The goal is to help expose students to the idea of grad school, different types of grad school options, tips for applying, and what to do after grad school. This event is for any undergraduate student interested in grad school, no matter where you are in the process (from “I didn’t think grad school was for me” to “I know which programs I want to go into”). The Office of Undergraduate Research provides funding opportunities for students whose research requires travel or other support.   When to Apply: Grants are considered monthly. Travel Grant and Small Grant applications are reviewed and applicants are notified of the outcome by the 7th day of every month. This means all applications (including the faculty mentor portion) must be submitted no later than the last day of the previous month. Undergraduate Research Scholar Designation (URSD) FINAL Deadline for Summer 2026

The Undergraduate Research Scholar Designation (URSD) recognizes a student’s commitment to their development as a researcher during their undergraduate career. The URSD appears in the awards section of the transcripts of graduating students. OUR Advisory Council Meeting
