Online tutoring service 'UPchieve' will connect you with low-income students who need and appreciate your knowledge and coaching.
Register with UPchieve directly with this link. You will go through a background check and "UPchieve 101 Training" highlighting their "do's and don't's." Once you pass their content test, you can choose the dates and times you are available to use the UPchieve platform to tutor students.
You will recieve report logs of your service hours which you can offer to your own instructors, or report on your own resume'.
The best way to learn and master your own course content is to teach it to someone else. And, you will be helping Computer Science students achieve success who would otherwise not be able to afford a tutor.

Looking for a cultural experience? Join us for Native Gift Making.
In this workshop you will experience Native American wood burning, cedar weaving and beading taught by local Snohomish tribal elders Mike Evans and Karen Condo. Learn the Blue Heron Canoe Family way of "make two gift one" towards Canoe Journey and hear teachings of modern and traditional ways of native beings. -- Don't know what those things are? We are just the space for you.
In the process you will experience first hand the 8 benefits of crafting:
Lowers blood pressure.
Confidence and enhanced self-esteem.
Increases brain activity and cognition.
Enhances quality of life.
Small exercises can help dexterity.
Boosts empathy.
Allows further self expression and understanding.
Join for 15 minutes or 2 hours, completely up to you. Projects can be completed over multiple visits and in one session. Bring your friends by for a local cultural experience.

World Refugee Day falls each year on June 20. Because June 20 is Commencement, we will celebrate a week early on June 13. World Refugee Day was observed globally for the first time on June 20, 2001 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees. It was originally known as Africa Refugee Day, before the United Nations General Assembly officially designated it as an international day in December 2000.
