STI/HIV Testing

The Q Center partners with Seattle’s LGBTQ+ Center (formerly Gay City) to offer free and confidential STI and Insti HIV testing right here on campus. Students are welcome to drop in, ask questions, and take charge of their sexual health in a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment. Testing will take place May 13th, 11:00 to 3:30 in HUB 315. Let's Talk with UW Counseling Center

Let’s Talk is a program that connects UW students both virtually and in person to 1-1 support from experienced mental health counselors from the Counseling Center without an appointment. Let’s Talk offers informal consultation – it is not a substitute for regular therapy, counseling or psychiatric care.  Mental health counselors help students with insight, solutions and information about other resources. A-Spec Discussion Group

A-Spec Discussion Group (ASDG) is a space for anyone under the asexual or aromantic umbrella who is seeking community and connection. In these loosely structured sessions, A-Spec folks will have the opportunity to share their experiences, discuss the issues affecting them, and seek support from their peers. Gender Discussion Group

This is a group facilitated in partnership with Ingersoll Gender Center for UW students (undergraduate, graduate, and professional) who identify as trans (including, but not limited to, binary trans identities, non-binary trans identities, culturally specific gender identities, demi-gender identities, genderfluid and genderqueer identities, etc.) as well as those who are at any point in their journey of gender self discovery. This loving and supportive space emphasizes community and connection as we process anything and everything gender related. Ask questions, find support, and grow. Event interval: Single day event. May Memoir Book Club

Registration required. Sign up here. The Q Center is hosting its very LAST BOOK CLUB of the year—sexual wellness edition! This book club will give us space to explore sex, sexuality, and relationships through books and community. We invite everyone to come exactly as they are and join the conversation. We encourage folks to read the book (or at least read it mostly!) so we can all dive in together. When you enter space, we will ask for you to review our Community Agreements.
