ASSETS virtual workshop: Accessibility research, collaboration & community building

This workshop aims to explore the role of collaboration and community-building in accessibility research within resource-limited contexts. Specifically, we seek to understand how inclusive research practices can inform cost trade-offs and contribute to the development of affordable assistive technologies. ASSETS virtual workshop: Teaching Accessibility Across Disciplines

This workshop brings together accessibility researchers and educators to explore topics, approaches, resources, and challenges involved in teaching accessibility across different disciplines. With the April 2026 Title II deadline approaching, this workshop is especially relevant. While accessibility education has been extensively explored in computer science, its integration into other disciplines is under-investigated. This series of events honors Devva Kasnitz's dream to expand disability studies from the ivory tower of academia to the homes of everyday people.
