Pre-Tenure Faculty Workshop
Mentoring workshops for faculty often focus on how faculty can be better mentors. But faculty also want to be mentored. As faculty, getting the mentoring you need to succeed can be challenging. In this workshop we reconceptualize mentoring and explore questions like How have your mentoring needs changed over time and career stage? , Which mentoring needs have been met? , Which mentoring needs have not yet been met? , How can you better manage relationships with mentors? , What makes mentoring relationships effective? , How might you engage new mentors? , How might you retire a mentor who is no longer needed or no longer useful?

Quarterly Leadership Workshop
In conjunction with the Opportunities in Leadership Program (OLP), UW ADVANCE offers cross-college quarterly leadership workshops that address leadership and faculty professional development issues and are intended to facilitate cross-college networks and interdisciplinary information exchange.
To be effective, faculty leaders must stay informed about changes to UW policies and processes and understand their changing roles and responsibilities. This workshop will address leaders’ roles in two recently revised processes: 25-71 (Standard of Conduct) and Civil Rights reporting, investigations, and checklists.
