Dr. Kemi Doll is a Professor, physician, surgeon, double board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist and OB/GYN, health equity scientist, and transformational coach whose work is reshaping what’s possible for Black women in academia, healthcare, and research.

Nicholas Freudenberg joins us to discuss how in this moment activists, health professionals, and academics can work with communities and residents to protect public health and social justice, using the lessons that health social movements in New York have learned over the last 60 years. Freudenberg is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Public Health at the CUNY School of Public Health, Senior Faculty Fellow, co-founder of the CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute and author of Fighting for New York: Activisim for Health and Social Justice Since the 1960s.
Fighting for New York is a pragmatic account of health-focused social movements over the past several decades.
