Virtual Weight Training Class with The Whole U

The Importance of “Place” in UWT Students’ Educational Journey
In today’s world, “place” is an ever-increasing element of almost every known culture and geographic region. Research also shows that place-based education (PBE) can raise a student’s connection to place and help them better understand the need to take care of their world – especially where they live. UWT campus founders certainly believed “place” was an important factor when locating UWT in the Warehouse District in downtown Tacoma. Dr. Pagano has been a proponent of integrating “place” into new engineering programs and facilities. Virtual Weight Training Class with The Whole U
Make time for training with weights and join Lauren Updyke for a 30 minute intermediate class each Tuesday and Thursday in April at 6:15 a.m. on Zoom.
You will need two sets of weights at least (5lb - 25lb range) and a chair. This class will include total body and focus on both large and small muscle groups. We will finish with core and stretching.

Morning mindfulness practice (20 mins)
Description: We gather weekday mornings at 9:00am on Zoom for a short mindfulness practice. We settle in for the first few minutes with light guidance then practice together in silence and end promptly at 9:20. All levels of experience with mindfulness are welcome.
