Improving Conflict Engagement: Faculty and Staff Training
Please join the Office of Equity & Inclusion and the Campus Climate Committee for a campus-wide workshop series about how to improve conflict engagement and build community connection — a vital part of creating a healthier UW Tacoma community.
Interpersonal conflict is inevitable, but how we engage one another determines whether it divides or strengthens us. These workshops are part of a year-long initiative focused on transforming how we understand, approach, and navigate conflict across campus life.
Morning refreshments and a full lunch will be provided each session.
Those who attended the Winter Series are welcome to sign up but priority will be given to those who have not already participated.

ARISE: End of Year Celebration
ARISE is the Center for Equity and Inclusion’s end of year celebration for UW Tacoma students. All UW Tacoma graduating seniors are invited to register for a special recognition ceremony and reception. Participants and their guests are invited to a stole ceremony where a person of their choosing—a family member, faculty, staff, friend—greets them on stage and places a stole on them. The rest of the night is a shared meal, a photobooth, and performances ranging from cultural (Taiko drumming, Tinikling, Step) to poetry. RSVP Required.
