The Office of Community Partnerships and the School of Urban Studies are pleased to welcome Visiting Scholar Dr. Prentiss Dantzler to the UW Tacoma campus for a public lecture. 🗓 Monday, May 18 ⏰ 5:00–7:00 PM 📍 UW Tacoma Campus, Keystone 102, Carwein Auditorium  Lecture Title: Who Deserves the City? Community Power and the Politics of Belonging Lecture Description: This talk examines housing and urban change as ongoing struggles over land, property, and power. Drawing on research on racial inequality and neighborhood change, Dr. Dantzler explores how ideas about who belongs shape access to place—and how communities have organized, resisted, and asserted their claims to remain and thrive. A social hour will follow the lecture from 6:00–7:00 PM. All are welcome. Faculty, staff, students, and members of the public are invited to attend and engage in conversation with Dr. Dantzler.
