Mass Shootings in the United States: What Makes Us Unique

Nationally prominent experts on mass shootings will discuss why the United States has so many more mass shootings than any other country. This event is open to the entire UW community including students, faculty, and staff as well as the larger public. All are invited to invited to attend this free event but RSVP's are appreciated to help us prepare refreshments. LIght refreshments will be served.  Featuring: Dr. Adam Lankford, Professor and Chair of the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice, University of Alabama , Dr. Daniel Gascón, Assistant Professor of Sociology, University of Massachusetts Boston , Kristina Anderson Froling, international advocate in the fields of bystander intervention, active shooter response and violence prevention within schools, workplaces and public spaces; and founder of the Koshka Foundation for Safe Schools.
