Inside UW Tacoma’s Three-Year MSW

Join us for a virtual information session to learn about UW Tacoma’s Three-Year Master of Social Work program and how it can support your goals. We’ll cover the evening class schedule, three-year structure, curriculum, practicum experiences, admission requirements, application materials, tuition, funding, and student support services. You’ll also learn how the MSW prepares graduates for advanced practice in behavioral health, schools, health care, child and family services, criminal justice, community organizations, public systems, and advocacy. The Three-Year MSW is open to students from all academic backgrounds—no BSW or BASW required. Applications for Autumn 2027 open October 1, 2026, with a final deadline of February 15, 2027. Applying to graduate school can feel overwhelming—but you do not have to figure out the application alone. Join the UW Tacoma School of Social Work & Criminal Justice for a live, step-by-step walk-through of the 3-Year MSW application for autumn 2027. We will show you how to locate the correct program, navigate the online application, prepare your required materials, designate recommenders, upload transcripts, and avoid common mistakes. This session is designed for prospective students who are preparing to apply or have already started an application. There will also be time for questions.
