Code Club Level 1

The HIVE Code Club Level 1 is a free coding club for children at the beginning of their coding journey. Lockdown Laundry Letters Roving Display

Miramar Library During July artist Katja Starke travelled all over Wellington to capture peoples’ experiences of the Covid-19 lockdown using her trusty typewriter. Wellingtonians shared their unique and personal perspectives of lockdown with Katja, then hung them out to air on the Lockdown Laundry washing line for others to read. Words with double vowel sounds

Te Reo Classes Nau mai, haere mai to the Library free te reo Māori classes ‘He Timotimo’. These are introductory classes for beginners introducing  a new topic each week as a taster, ‘he timotimo’ to get you started learning te reo Māori. He Timotimo is made up of six  different topics to make up the programme but don't worry if you can't make them all as each session will provide pronunciation practice and is a complete lesson on its own.The sessions will be fun and you will be supported as you learn the basics with our specially designed programme developed by Neavin Broughton and taught in association with Te Reihine Roberts-Thompson. Bookings will be essential as numbers are limited and each session needs to be booked separately.  The classes are informal and you will not need textbooks or other materials, you might just want to bring a notebook and pen to take some notes. Lockdown Laundry Letters Roving Display

Johnsonville Library at Waitohi Hub During July artist Katja Starke travelled all over Wellington to capture peoples’ experiences of the Covid-19 lockdown using her trusty typewriter. Correcting common pronunciation mistakes

Te Reo Classes Nau mai, haere mai to the Library free te reo Māori classes ‘He Timotimo’. These are introductory classes for beginners introducing  a new topic each week as a taster, ‘he timotimo’ to get you started learning te reo Māori. He Timotimo is made up of six  different topics to make up the programme but don't worry if you can't make them all as each session will provide pronunciation practice and is a complete lesson on its own.The sessions will be fun and you will be supported as you learn the basics with our specially designed programme developed by Neavin Broughton and taught in association with Te Reihine Roberts-Thompson. Lockdown Laundry Letters Roving Display

These are introductory classes for beginners introducing  a new topic each week as a taster, ‘he timotimo’ to get you started learning te reo Māori. Lockdown Laundry Letters Roving Display

Te Awe Library During July artist Katja Starke travelled all over Wellington to capture peoples’ experiences of the Covid-19 lockdown using her trusty typewriter.
