And then there’s the Brew ‘N Bee at PetSkull Brewing Co. LLC, where semi-contained “intelligent” tomfoolery is allowed to run its course, unleashed to swarm all those in attendance with a less-than-subtle blend of smarts and yowling bravado! That said, the “T-I-M-E” to partake in a bit of friendly “C-O-M-P-E-T-I-T-I-O-N” while indulging in a couple of quality micro-brewed beers (should one so choose to) is upon us again: “Brew ‘N Bee VI: From Bee to Shining Bee!’” Manitowoc Public Library and PetSkull Brewing Company, LLC, will once again join forces to present this annual orthographic scrum in PetSkull’s outdoor Beer Garden on Wednesday, July 22, at 6 PM. As before, this will b…

Is it a bookend to the career of Clint Eastwood, who began his career playing the kinds of men Munny does all he can to avoid regressing into? Is Unforgiven a…

Ballet Hispánico’s CARMEN.maquia
Hailed as a “masterpiece” by the Chicago Sun-Times, CARMEN.maquia is a Picasso-inspired contemporary take on Bizet’s beloved classic from the famed – and familiar to Fox Cities audiences – Ballet Hispánico dance company.

A stunning set design by Luis Crespo and minimalist black-and-white costumes by fashion designer David Delfin evoke the paintings of Pablo Picasso. Highly original and full of elaborate partnering, CARMEN.maquia is a bold and electrifying reimagining of this tragic tale.
