Join HME Home Medical for our Winter Blood Drive on Thursday, January 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Donating blood is one of the warmest things you can do this season, and every pint makes a meaningful difference for patients in our community.
We’ll have hot cocoa, cookies, and cozy winter touches available for donors as a small thank-you for showing up and giving back.
The need for blood increases during the winter months, and your donation helps ensure local hospitals have the supplies they need. If you’re able, bundle up and stop by — a few minutes of your day can help save a life.

Join us to walk the paved trail while it is lit up and glowing with hundreds of luminaries. The 1.2-mile paved trail is perfect for solo walkers, couples, friends, families, four-legged friends on leashes and families with strollers, wagons, or pull sleds (if there is snow on the ground). Flashlights allowed.
Cost: $5 per person or $15 per family (up to 6 people, please). Cash or scanned QR code for online payments at the door. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance to guarantee you a spot. GB Southwest Hosts Community Dress Sale to Support Local Students
Green Bay, WI — GB Southwest High School will host a Dress Sale on Saturday, 1/24/26, offering students and community members an affordable way to shop for formal dresses while supporting a local student organization.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1331 Packerland Drive.
The sale will feature all styles of formal dresses, including prom, senior ball, winter dances, and homecoming. Shoppers can expect great prices and over 15 changing rooms available on site.
Community members may also sell or donate dresses. Dress drop-off will be held on Friday, 1/23, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There is a $5 fee per dress, and dress donations are welcome.

Join us for the 2nd annual Ale on the Trail event at Brown Country Reforestation Camp on Saturday, February 7th from noon - 4pm. Strap on your cross country skis, snowshoes or hiking boots and come out and enjoy a 2 mile course paired with beer (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) samplings along the way for adults. Bring the whole family with kid friendly samples along the way and activities along the course. Warm up stations will be provided along the way. Participants receive a souvenir 5oz mug for sampling and lanyard to make for easy movement on the trail.

Join Manitowoc Public Library and Master Gardeners of Manitowoc County om yje Balkansky Community Room on Saturday, March 7, from 1-2 PM, for a weekend lecture by University of Wisconsin Extension's VJ Pandian that will focus on pruning your shrubs and trees into shape. This presentation introduces novice gardeners to the fundamentals of pruning. You’ll learn the science behind how plants respond to pruning, explore the major pruning techniques used across the landscape, and understand when and why to apply each method. By the end, you’ll feel more confident shaping trees and shrubs into healthy, attractive forms. Professor Pandian is the regional Horticulture Extension Educator for Milwaukee, Kenosha, and Racine Counties. The Suamico Knights of Columbus and KC Ladies Auxiliary have moved their annual Lenten perch fries from St. Benedict’s Church to St. Maximillian Kolbe Church in Sobieski.
We hope you will come there to enjoy a great perch dinner and share in each other’s company and fellowship. We will have carry-out available for those who prefer to eat at home for a $1 extra a plate.
Fish fries will be from 4:30-6:30pm on February 13th & 27th and March 13th & 27th. Three perch plate sizes are available with all the fixings and don’t forget the delicious homemade desserts.
All proceeds support local needs in our community. Additional details are available on the fliers in the entryway of church. We hope to see you all there!

When the lights flicker, and a piercing scream echoes through the exhibition, the night’s beauty wilts into chaos.
