Film and Panel Event: “From Rails to Trials”

Following the documentary, a panel discussion will take place with local advocates, elected officials, and municipal staff members who were instrument…

To honor and celebrate this century-long legacy, WOMT is partnering with Manitowoc Public Library to present a rare exhibition of radios spanning the decades to our community from the private collection of Manitowoc resident, Steve Kanter. This Historic Radio Showcase will be on display on MPL's First Floor from Monday, April 20, through Saturday, May 30, near the Main Service Desk. More pieces of interesting, obscure WOMT ephemera are certain to be added as the exhibition nea…

Tales from the Taproom 7: A StorySlam for Adults (21+) at PetSkull Brewing Company
There's always a healthy dose of springtime tomfoolery during April, so we figured that this month's installment of "Tales from the Taproom" should reflect that shenaniganing! Still no props, no notes, and only five minutes to tell a favorite story, but this month we're changing things up a bit.
The theme for this late-April event at PetSkull Brewing Company, sponsored by Seehafer News, from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 30, is "Say WHAAAT?!?"
Because sometimes someone will say something that sounds perfectly plausible and it turns out to be an outrageous lie. Other times, someone will say something that sounds completely outrageous and it turns out to be the absolute truth. Join us for “Say WHAAAT?!?”—the seventh installment of “Tales from the Taproom,” Manitowoc Public Library’s & PetSkull Brewing Company's StorySlam series—and let your storytelling soar. Tell a true story that sounds like a lie or tell a lie that sounds like a truth. It doesn’t matter! Just be convincing!
The individual that fools the most…
