Teen Shelf Care Boxes at Manitowoc Public Library

Ready to explore the shelves? Teens between the ages of 11-18 are invited to sign up for our new Shelf Care boxes from Friday, January 2, through Thursday, January 15! These boxes will take you on an adventure through the Manitowoc Public Library YA stacks, introduce you to authors—both popular and unfamiliar—and maybe we'll even dive into the arcane knowledge hidden in the non-fiction section. Luminary Walk @ Baird Creek

Join us to walk the paved trail while it is lit up and glowing with hundreds of luminaries. The 1.2-mile paved trail is perfect for solo walkers, couples, friends, families, four-legged friends on leashes and families with strollers, wagons, or pull sleds (if there is snow on the ground). Flashlights allowed. Cost: $5 per person or $15 per family (up to 6 people, please). Cash or scanned QR code for online payments at the door. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance to guarantee you a spot. Walk-ins welcome, but will only be permitted if there are enough parking spots and event space. Family Winter Carnival and Movie Night

Hortonville American Legion Community Center Raffle & Tailgate Party (with 3 Packers Legends) for the Big Game

The “Community Center Raffle and Tailgate Party for the Big Game,” will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026. (Need not be present to win.) It’s the spring of 1950, and the Fox River Garden Society has gathered at the National Railroad Museum’s brand-new Fox River Expansion for an evening of elegance and celebration. The highlight of the night, the unveiling of the legendary Iron Rose, promises prestige and acclaim for its powerful benefactor. When the lights flicker, and a piercing scream echoes through the exhibition, the night’s beauty wilts into chaos. Amid whispered rivalries, hidden histories, and blooming deceit, guests must explore the Museum’s historic rail cars to uncover who turned this season of renewal into a night of betrayal and revenge! 1950s era attire is encouraged but not required.
