Bermuda, Black Tourism, and the Global Politics of Travelling While Black on Sunday, September 22nd.  The lecture is led by Theodore Francis, an Assistant Professor of History at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. After graduating from Morehouse College, Theodore earned his M.A. & Ph.D. in Caribbean-Atlantic World History at the University of Chicago.He teaches courses on African-American, Caribbean and United States History. In addition, he advises the campus chapter of the National Association of Colored People (NAACP), the International Students Association, and YNA Fellowship, an organization focused on mental health awareness and suicide-prevention. Francis' research interests focus on the history of segregation and Black leisure travel in the Caribbean and the Americas. World Heritage Centre Art Exhibit: Bermuda Panoramas by Emile Antoine Verpilleux

TWIB The St. George's Foundation has a permanent exhibit of Bermuda landscape murals painted in the 1930's by Emile Antoine Verpilleux for the Anderson family of Ford Motor Company. These large paintings depict an era long ago and are not only of value as works of art, but are of historical and education interest.  These mural have been restored and are exhibited at The World Heritage Centre, St. George This exhibit will be ongoing until further notice. Bonfires on the Beach

TWIB Snorkel Park invites you to cozy up to Bonfires on the Beach, every Monday and Wednesday night, starting on Monday, April 15th. Historical Reenactment & Walking Tour

The Grateful Bread Monthly Feeding Program - September 26th

TWIB The Grateful Bread, a community action dinner program to help heal racial and social divisions in our society, host a free dinner for those in need on the last Thursday of each month. The next dinner will take place on Thursday, April 25th. Doors open at 5:45pm at Astwood Hall, adjacent to St. Andrews church on Church Street (opposite HSBC), and service will start promptly at 6pm. Food is served by ticket number until all food is gone. There will also be free giveaways of clothes, shoes, household items, toiletries and more. The event finishes at 7:30pm. Hamilton Princess Art Tour

TWIB The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club is proud to introduce, as part of its more than $90M renovation, a public art program throughout the lobby and public spaces in the hotel. The Hamilton Princess Art Tour will take place at 10am every Saturday. Contemporary works are juxtaposed against the historic architectural details and crown molding to enliven the space. World Heritage Centre Art Exhibit: Bermuda Panoramas by Emile Antoine Verpilleux

TWIB The St. George's Foundation has a permanent exhibit of Bermuda landscape murals painted in the 1930's by Emile Antoine Verpilleux for the Anderson family of Ford Motor Company. These large paintings depict an era long ago and are not only of value as works of art, but are of historical and education interest.  These mural have been restored and are exhibited at The World Heritage Centre, St. George This exhibit will be ongoing until further notice. 4th Annual Fun Golf Open Mini Golf Tournament - September 28th

The Great Sip & Paint For Autism - September 29th

TWIB In an effort to raise funds for their Autism Early Intervention Centre, Tomorrow's Voices Autism Centre is hosting a charity fundraiser they promise will be the largest paint night the island has ever seen: The Great Sip & Paint for Autism on Sunday, September 29th.  The night starts at 5pm with dinner at the BSoA on the top floor of the City Hall, and painting is from 6pm until 9pm. The event is sure to be epic with over 100 guests creating artwork for a great cause. Along with painting, tunes from DJ sounds will have you rocking in your chair as you create your masterpiece. The theme will be around Autism, and there will be an artist on hand to help get the creative juices flowing. There will also be a Sun Kissed Henna Station.  Tickets are $75 each and include dinner and two drinks, and patron tables of ten can be purchased for $1,000.  All proceeds benefit the Tomorrow’s Voices Autism Centre and the families it supports.
