Established in 2002 by Connie Reeves Campbell, who lost her husband Dennis to a brain tumor in 2000. The Foundation is proud to be a source of comfort and hope to the local community. Cancer Classes and Events Relaxation Techniques: Meditation, Mindfulness, and Deep Breathing This weekly series of guided relaxation methods will focus on the mind-body-heart connection for optimal wellness. We will introduce various methods of deep breathing, present moment awareness, techniques of mindfulness, and meditation practices. This class will serve as both an introduction to those new to these techniques, as well as an opportunity to deepen awareness for practitioners. A typical session will consist of deep breathing, self-reflection in stillness, and a technique of guided meditation. The class is led by Jyoti Mayadev, MD. Stop the Bleed is training to be able to provide immediate front-line aid for life-threatening bleeding until first responders arrive.  Injuries from home and work accidents, as well as natural disasters and unfortunately mass shootings, often include severe bleeding that if left unattended, can result in death.  Like learning CPR, Stop the Bleed goes beyond basic first aid and teaches advanced bleeding control techniques that could save a life! Cancer Classes and Events Relaxation Techniques: Meditation, Mindfulness, and Deep Breathing This weekly series of guided relaxation methods will focus on the mind-body-heart connection for optimal wellness. We will introduce various methods of deep breathing, present moment awareness, techniques of mindfulness, and meditation practices. Cancer Classes and Events Relaxation Techniques: Meditation, Mindfulness, and Deep Breathing This weekly series of guided relaxation methods will focus on the mind-body-heart connection for optimal wellness. We will introduce various methods of deep breathing, present moment awareness, techniques of mindfulness, and meditation practices. This class will serve as both an introduction to those new to these techniques, as well as an opportunity to deepen awareness for practitioners. A typical session will consist of deep breathing, self-reflection in stillness, and a technique of guided meditation. The class is led by Jyoti Mayadev, MD. Dr. Mayadev is an associate professor of radiation oncology at UCSD Health's Moores Cancer Center, with a research and clinical focus on gynecology oncology.
