Join the City of Ann Arbor’s Office of Sustainability and Innovations in adopting Ann Arbor’s parks! From 3:00 – 5:00pm on the third Friday of each month through November (the fourth Friday in September), OSI and Parks staff will be doing stewardship work in one of Ann Arbor’s parks. This work could include removing invasive plant species, litter pick-ups, planting native trees and gardens, maintaining garden beds, touching up faded murals, etc. Volunteers are welcome - come prepared to get dirty and make a difference! Parks and Recreation
Washtenaw communities lead Southern Michigan in farm conservation, and this fall, residents will have the chance to experience that work firsthand. The City of Ann Arbor Greenbelt and its partners will host the Washtenaw Conserved Farm Tour. Participants may register to visit up to three farms that highlight local food production, conservation efforts and preserved natural areas. Stops include Brines Farm, Vestergaard Farm and Annie G’s Dairy, where visitors can explore everything from vegetable and nut tree crops to cattle, dairy cows, community gardens and restored woodlands. Join the City of Ann Arbor’s Office of Sustainability and Innovations in adopting Ann Arbor’s parks! From 3:00 – 5:00pm on the third Friday of each month through November (the fourth Friday in September), OSI and Parks staff will be doing stewardship work in one of Ann Arbor’s parks. This work could include removing invasive plant species, litter pick-ups, planting native trees and gardens, maintaining garden beds, touching up faded murals, etc. Volunteers are welcome - come prepared to get dirty and make a difference! Join the City of Ann Arbor’s Office of Sustainability and Innovations in adopting Ann Arbor’s parks! From 3:00 – 5:00pm on the third Friday of each month through November (the fourth Friday in September), OSI and Parks staff will be doing stewardship work in one of Ann Arbor’s parks. This work could include removing invasive plant species, litter pick-ups, planting native trees and gardens, maintaining garden beds, touching up faded murals, etc. Volunteers are welcome - come prepared to get dirty and make a difference! Close-toed shoes, long pants, and a refillable water bottle are recommended. With questions, please email Sean Reynolds (sreynolds@a2gov.org). Location TBD.
