Gallup River Cleanup

Turnberry Park Workday

Parks and Recreation Show some love to Turnberry Park! Join the Girl Up Michigan and the Ann Arbor Parks Volunteer Program for a volunteer workday focused on caring for the park’s playground area. Turnberrry Park is an over eight-acre park off Packard on Turnberry Drive in the southeast corner of the city. This is a relatively large neighborhood park with a playground and picnic tables. The park serves as a green buffer between the neighborhood and US-23.  During this event, volunteers will focus on weeding under and around the playground equipment. This hands-on work helps keep the play area cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for children, families, and neighbors who visit the park throughout the season. Parks and Recreation Show some love to Bryant Community Center! Join the Ann Arbor Parks Volunteer Program for a gardening workday focused on caring for the planted areas around this important neighborhood space. Bryant Park and Community Center is located on the city’s south side and is home to the CAN Bryant Community Center. The park includes amenities such as a playground, walking trails, and a pavilion, making it a busy place for recreation, gathering, and community connection.  During this event, volunteers will help weed garden beds, cut back shrubs, trim back grasses, and spread mulch. Weeds are taking over in some areas, and volunteers will help clear space so the beautiful plantings can continue to shine. This work helps keep the community center grounds cared for, welcoming, and easier to maintain throughout the summer season. Sustainability and Innovations ​Join our monthly A²ZERO clothing swaps on the third Thursday of each month! Swaps are an opportunity to refresh your wardrobe, without buying new.
