Maternity Area In-person Tour

Childbirth Education We are pleased to have in-person tours of our maternal health areas of Saint Francis Health System on Yale. This includes labor and delivery and our two postpartum floors. Childbirth Series In-Person Classes

Childbirth Education This in-depth, three-class series covers pregnancy, vaginal and Cesarean deliveries, pain control techniques, possible medical interventions, postpartum recovery and essential newborn information. You will also receive a course book and a helpful companion app that includes videos, checklists and applicable tools. We also have pediatrician visit our class one evening to 30 minutes for a Q & A session. It can be helpful complete your childbirth class no later than 34 weeks. Breastfeeding Basics In-Person Class

Our classes cover recognizing hunger cues of your baby, techniques on positioning your baby at the breast, successfully latching on, feeding patterns, breast pumps, and breast milk storage and more, along with hands on learning opportunities.  A support person is encouraged to attend with you at no additional cost.
