TRUMBA POWERS ONLINE EVENT CALENDARS FOR MORE MUSEUMS

The Frick Collection Leverages Trumba Connect To Provide Comprehensive Museum Event Calendar

Seattle, WA, May 15, 2013 – Trumba Corporation, a leading developer of innovative online calendaring solutions, announced that The Frick Collection selected Trumba Connect to power their online event calendar, joining the growing list of museums such as the Smithsonian Institute using Trumba to promote exhibitions, programs and events. Trumba Connect helps organizations increase event awareness and attendance and better connects them with their audiences through a comprehensive suite of tools that includes a hosted, interactive web calendar, email and reporting services.

Trumba’s compatibility with numerous CMS platforms enables The Frick Collection to integrate their event calendar with their recently redesigned Drupal 7 web site while leveraging Trumba’s powerful publishing tools. The Frick’s site visitors can filter over a dozen event types (exhibitions, lectures, concerts, docent talks and more) and six audience types (such as adults, students and educators) customized by the museum so that their site visitors can easily find specific offerings of interest. Trumba’s keyword search provides another tool for quickly finding a specific event. The Frick also customizes their calendar views so that visitors can display the museum’s event overview, event details, monthly view, or past programs, tailoring the view to their individual preference. The museum and library hours are also integrated with the Frick’s calendar.

Trumba gives the Frick the ability to customize, group and promote specific programs throughout their website. "To highlight programs related to our exhibitions we find it useful to select and display specific programs with Trumba’s filter view feature, which makes those queries easy," says Vivian Gill, Web and New Media Manager for The Frick Collection. Customizing events with photographs is another Trumba feature the Frick effectively leverages to enhance their online calendar. The museum’s web site and calendar is filled with many colorful images that help convey the elegance and richness of the institution, its collections and exhibitions. Trumba’s digital signage feature also helps the Frick promote their exhibitions and programs by displaying daily events on a kiosk inside the museum lobby.

Trumba’s customizable online event registration feature makes it easy for the Frick to collect and manage sign-ups for their drawing classes and other events. With Trumba’s interactive Event Actions, visitors can add classes and programs to their personal calendars, request email or text reminders, sign up for event emails, forward event information to friends and more. "We’ve had more than 60 people sign up for student programs using variations of the form on the Event Action page, so it will definitely be noticed,” says Adrienne Lei, Education Programs Coordinator for The Frick Collection. "We are extremely grateful for the reservation features in Trumba, which have allowed us to expand our educational program offerings and still keep track of registrations with ease."

The Frick also plans to use Trumba’s mobile features to provide their visitors with optimal mobile access to the museum’s event information. “Trumba’s web calendar features and support have worked very well for us and we’re looking forward to using Trumba’s mobile templates," adds Gill.
