Add events to calendars
You can add events to your Trumba® calendars in several different ways. This topic describes basic methods for adding one or more events.

How to add a single event
When you create a new event for a calendar, you define the event by naming it, specifying the start time, and more. You also have the option of adding the event to other calendars you've created. If things change after you create the event, you can update it or delete, remove, or cancel it at any time.
How do I remove, delete, or cancel events?
You can a single event in several different ways. The method you choose depends upon which view you're in.
- To add an event:
- In any view, click Add Event above a calendar.
- In Day or 3 Day view, at the left edge of the calendar, click the hour that you want the event to begin.
Or, click the bar on the calendar that represents the time the event occurs.
- In Week, Multi-Week, or Month view, click the add event symbol
that appears:
Toward the bottom of the date block in Week view.
In the upper right corner of the date block in Multi-Week and Month view.
- In the Event Information form, choose the type of event you want to add.
The Event Information form changes to show the fields available for the event type you selected. For example, if you select the event type Concert, fields for Price - Low, Price - High, and Age Range appear.
- Type a description and location (and add a map link if you want). Select the start date and time.
Tip To create an event with no end time, for Duration, click Specify End. Set the end time to match the start time.
- For Notes, provide additional information about the event.
- Under Also Shows On, select additional calendars, if any, that you want to add the event to.
- Click OK to save your changes and return to your calendar.
How to add events from one calendar to another
You can add an event you created on one calendar to any other calendar that you can edit. The event still belongs to the calendar where you created it and it gets added to the second calendar.
Adding events from one calendar to another can sometimes help you work more efficiently. For example, suppose:
- You have two calendars and you want to export your events to create backup files. By adding events from Calendar B to Calendar A, you can export all of your events at once.
- You want to share Calendar A with another Trumba account holder and you also want to share some but not all of the events from Calendar B. By adding some events from Calendar B to Calendar A, you can share just the combination of events you want.
You have three options for adding events from one calendar to another:
- Add a single event using the Event Information form.
- Add a single event by clicking the event arrow.
- Add multiple events in List view.
How do I remove events I add from other calendars?
Add a single event using the Event Information form
Clicking the title of an existing event (or clicking Add Event to create a new event) opens the Event Information form. In the Also Shows On section on the right, select the check box next to the name of the calendar to which you want to add the event.

If you have events from Calendar B mixed in to Calendar A, you can add events from Calendar B to Calendar A by clicking the arrow to the left of an event description. Clicking the arrow displays a menu that includes a command for adding the event to the currently-displayed calendar.

Add multiple events in List view
When you want to add more than one event from one calendar to another, it's quickest to use List view.
- In the Other Calendars list, click the arrow next to the name of the calendar to which you want to add events, and then click Go to calendar.
- In the calendar list, select check boxes next to the titles of the calendars that include events you want to add.
- Click List above the calendar to see the events in list view.
- In the event list, select the check boxes next to the events that you want to add.
- In the drop-down list, select Add events to [calendar name]. In the second drop-down list that appears, select the name of the calendar you want the events added to, and then click Go.
Remove an event you added from another calendar
To remove events you added from other calendars, click the event arrow, and choose the remove command.
Tips
- You can also remove an event by opening the Event Information form. In the Also Shows On section to the right of the form, clear the check box next to the name of the calendar, and then click OK.
- To remove several events, display the calendar from which you want to remove the events. Click List above the calendar to see the events in List view. In the event list, select the check boxes next to the events you want to remove. In the drop-down list, select Remove events from [calendar name], and then click Go.
How to add events from a calendar created in another program
You can add events from calendars created in programs such as Outlook, iCal, or Yahoo! to a calendar you create in Trumba Connect by exporting the events from other calendar program and importing them into Trumba Connect.
